As we are heading into summer, all the world-class car and motor events are upon us. So you might be wondering what’s in store next and when you should start booking some holidays off work and reserving some dates in your calendar. We’ve compiled some of the best motor events to tick off your bucket list this year.
Isle of Man – TT
If you are a fan of racing and motorbikes, then you have, of course, heard of the TT on the quaint and small island of Isle of Man.
Racers from all over the world come for a chance to compete and watch the chaos that comes with these races. It’s an event that locals are excited about every year so much so that a lot of people leave to give outsiders a chance to stay over and enjoy the event.
The event starts at the end of May and finishes early in June and racers are met to ride across the ‘Mountain Course’, a 37.73-mile track that is only welcome to those who dare and are extreme risk-takers. It’s a 2-week event that welcomes people from all walks of life. The locals are more than welcome but be sure that you book your accommodations and tickets as soon as possible! As it’s only a small island, there is limited capacity. It’s definitely not one to miss and it should be visited at least once in your lifetime.
London Motor Show
One of the UK’s largest car shows is back and open to all those who appreciate motor history. Once you step through the doors, you will be transported back to the beginning of it, held in the Evolution Battersea Park in London, to see a whole selection of cars, and if you are up for it you will be in for a chance to learn about the latest technological innovations.
London is a very busy city in the summer so be sure to pre-book your parking just so you don’t have to miss the show. There are multiple car parks available, whether it’s Knightsbridge parking or Hyde Park parking.
Car Cox Motor Sport is also offering a look into his private selection of vehicles, along with many other big names. Keep your eyes peeled for the 2024 dates to be announced.
Goodwood Festival of Speed
The Festival of Speed calls itself the largest and most famous of any other car show you might have on your calendar. It’s the perfect opportunity to have not only a weekend in the sun watching amazingly fast cars but also a chance to socialise with a whole community that shares your interests.
It is held at Goodwood Estate in Chichester from the 11th to the 14th of July, and the festival itself is over the top to celebrate all kinds of motorsports. You will get to witness first-hand the brilliance of Edwardian classics and modern super F1 models.
Final Thoughts
These are just a few of the events we are expecting to see this year. Be sure to plan and prepare as much as possible, as these events bring in thousands of people from all over the world so make sure that you aren’t going to miss out, whether it’s through finding a Hyde Park parking space or accommodation. Don’t leave anything up to chance.
